Delicious Strawberry Jam in 3 Simple Steps

Try your hand at making this deliciously unique Strawberry Jam. It's so easy to make and wont take long at all!

INGREDIENTS

  • 1kg fresh strawberries, washed, hulled and dried
  • 1 lemon, juice only
  • 1kg jam sugar

DIRECTIONS

1.)Prepare the strawberries cutting them in half if they are too large. Place the strawberries and lemon juice into a pan. Heat the contents for a few minutes before adding the sugar. Stir the contents on a low heat until the sugar has dissolved.

2.)Wait until the sugar is dissolved and the liquid is clear before boiling for six minutes.

(Top Tip)

To test if your jam is at setting point. Place a small sample on a plate for a minute. After the minute, touch the jam with your finger and if it crinkles/separates without flooding back the setting point has been reached.

3.)When the setting point has been reached leave the jam to cool for about 10 minutes before using a jam jar to spoon the contents into.
