Homemade Halloween Pumpkin Decoration

Try your hand at making our homemade Halloween Pumpkin with a twist. It only takes 10 minutes!
Halloween is only round the corner are you prepared? If you’re looking to decorate your house, office or work place why not try this simple and easy way of bringing Halloween to you at a low cost.The homemade pumpkin is a great way to engage with the festive spirit and it will only takes 10 minutes of your time.
- Orange tissue paper
- 10 0z facetted
- Mod Podge
- Green Ribbon
- Leaf floral pick
- Black paper or felt
- Strong adhesive
- Sponge applicator
Step 1: Cut the orange tissue paper into 1 and half inch strips.
Step 2: Apply Mod Podge to the glass jar 2 inchs width from the jar opening to the bottom. Gently press the tissue paper onto the glass beginning at the jar opening and pressing the strips in place all the way to the bottom.
Step 3: Continue to apply each new strip, one at a time–beginning and ending with the Mod Podge. Overlap each new strip of tissue by about 1/2 an inch. This creates the effect of the ridges of a pumpkin. Cover the jar completely and allow it to dry.
Step 4: Cut out a pair of eyes and a mouth from black paper or black felt and adhere to the jar with a strong adhesive.
Step 5: Tie a green ribbon around the jar opening. Tack it down in a couple of places with the adhesive and insert a leaf floral pick
Step 6: Insert a candle and enjoy your pumpkin lantern.
