Industrial Packaging Group, the family-owned and Luxemburg-based holding company of Gaasch Packaging, acquires majority stake in Jars and Bottles

Jars and Bottles (“Pattesons”), based in Grimsby, North East Lincolnshire, England is one of the leading U.K. distributors of glass jars, bottles and containers for the food and drink industry. The company employs 24 persons for a turnover of 5,5 million £ (12 months ending August 2016).

Through the acquisition of Jars and Bottles, IPG will substantially strengthen its international distribution activities with a strategic partner who has an excellent presence in the United Kingdom.

This acquisition represents a major step for the international expansion of IPG. Jean-Christophe Gaasch, Director at Gaasch Packaging, adds, "The business and great team at J&B are a welcome addition to our already existing activities in the U.K. We were looking for additional back-office support and warehousing space to better serve our Scottish customers and wanted to leverage our know-how in other segments of the market. We found the right match at Pattesons to reach our goals with an experienced and motivated partner".
